Sorry I don't have any better pictures with me, here's the picture I submitted for the PN 2012 calendar, its the August picture.

Good point about the bimini. The bimini frame does prevent my spinner racks from spinning 180º into the boat. The OEM spinners lock every 90º, I push the button to release the lock and it locks again at 90º facing the back of the boat. That's the position where I load/unload the boards. Its never been an issue for me so I forgot to mention it. It's way easier than climbing along side the tower and getting the board from the flight clips.

From the photos at the website, it looks like the over the top style tower Bimini on the above tower gets mounted to the forward tower legs, and since the spinner board racks are mounted to the rear tower legs, the board racks would not be in conflict with the Bimini struts and so they would rotate fully.

Thanks! This thread makes me want to go rethink putting those spinners on again. I'll have to get creative with the bimini frame or just get a new one altogether. With my current setup, I can't even get to 90º like shonuff's. Post some pics when you have yours mounted.

Here’s a couple of pics of my 2003 216 with spinner racks and factory bimini. I have to take bimini down when trailering so the racks can spin all the way in. When on the water we can spine the racks in over 90deg which is more than enough to get boards in and out easily.

I won’t be putting speakers on my tower but am looking at changing the bimini to increase ski and kneeboard storage. Will probably do something like the project half way down this page

If anyone has pics of modified biminis with storage then I would be interested in seeing them.

Great pics and advice everyone, it has been very helpful. I finally decided to go for the original factory spinners from nautiqueparts.com (after learning the staronewake OEM ones were sold), but they unfortunately are sold out for these towers as well. Bummer.... The search continues... I'm looking forward to seeing the new spinners from staronewake. Let me know when you have some pics ready.

shonuff, that's a sweet setup but why didn't you remove the flight clips to clean up the tower?
to keep more racks for additionnal boards??

Thanks! I tried to remove the flight clips when I installed the spinners but the bolts were rusted on and the previous owner almost stripped the bolts already. I was going to use an impact wrench to try to remove them but then I ended up having to use the flight clips for extra boards/skis when I had big groups out so I just left them on. Its rare that I use the flight clips but its nice to have the extra storage when I need it.
