    New Nautiques not for me

I am not a fan of the side ski lockers and prefer the rear locker. It also limits the ability to put a good size cooler in the boat. Does anyone know when they are going to come out with a few new direct drive models? From what I hear, others have not been so impressed as well.

The 200 has broken about every record since it was introduced I doubt they will go back. Why dont you look for a nice 196?

There's actually more room in a 200 for a cooler than a 196. I wasn't a huge fan of the lockers either, until spending time my brother's boat. They're pretty sweet! The 196 trunk really isn't all that big, and a pain in the butt to crawl over. I like the '97-'01 of SN.

I own a 1996 closed bow ,My storage is good two coolers one under floor the other on the dash .My glove box is twice the size of the new 200,and under rear seat storage .The wake is pretty good too. The side lockers on my winter ski buddies 200 are a little flimsey we always tell everyone not to stand or sit on them and do not know if they will stand up to any abuse. That being said the performance is outstanding. But he is not so impressed as i am ,so he has ordered a carbon pro Centurion and gets in a few weeks ,his 200 will go up to his cabin , the Centurion will be the new winter ski boay

The college that I ski with uses a 200 and it has stood up to the abuse of a bunch of college kids in and out of the boat very well over the last several hundred hours.

Hmm, my brother's saddle bags are like bank vaults. I sit on them all the time.

i actually thought the side lockers on the 200 solved the issue i have with the rear locker on my 196 - that my 67" F1 doesn't fit inside it - even if its empty!

If its anything like their Wakeboards specific boats, the build quality will be a huge let down. I saw Centurions wake lineup at the Chicago boat show, and I was really surprised. Of course looking at a SAN 210 right before that didn't help...

I think we all can agree after owning a CC everything else will be a let down. My next boat will be a 200 OB I might test a MC pro but I doubt it will compare to the 200.

Speaking about 3 event boats only, my second choice after a sn 200 would be the malibu response txi. My wife would not speak to me though if I brought home a bu. I'll take a pull behind one any day though.

I agree that cooler storage is a bit of a problem in the 200 if you have a group with you. Having said that, this boat is a dream...I was looking for a Ski Boat and I don't regret my purchase in any way!

The Centurion has the closest wake to the 200 as anything out there. I have no complaints about getting one in a tournament. However, the build quality is no where near that of a 200. A friend of mine is a promo rep for Centurion and I'm the rep for Nautique. I am glad to see the Centurion make a run as I always thing competition is good. You would not see me own one especially since the price is not that far off of a 200. I don't want to bash any product, but I'll stick with the 200. I'd be happy to answer any questions privately if you want.

As far as the lockers. As mentioned, even the OB 200 has more storage than a 196. You can fit several skis under the driver's seat, or a cooler. Not sure about the report of the lockers being flimsy. I stand on them all the time. Not sure I'd put a 300# guy on one, but they are pretty secure.

I think the 200 has an image problem with die hard 196 people that have not spent any time with the 200. Everyone that I know that has taken the time with the 200 has been a convert. It's not that much bigger, but the interior is laid out much better so you have more space. Even if you don't use the lockers (bet you will!), it still has more room than a 196.

It's such a departure from the 196, as far as interior space, and like Dave said, it's really not that much bigger (but feels huge in comparison). We can now ski with 4 people in the boat (comfortably!), and the wake/spray is still awesome. Try that with a 196! I didn't want to like it at first, but a weekend in my brother's 2012, and I was converted (I even have an "eating 200 crow" thread). Plus, it does seem that they stepped up the build quality from the 196 - not that there was much room to improve though:-)
