    New SeaDek

I just finished installing the SeaDek Faux Teak (Brown/Black) on my swim platform. They had the swim platform in stock already cut so I got that a few week ago. The transom steps are in the works right now so I should have them a few weeks.

First off, SeaDek has been great so far. I ordered the swim platform pieces and a template kit - they were delivered in just a few days. The template kit is nothing more than a big sheet of mylar, but I didn't know where to find a piece that large around here. Instead of laying the mylar on the pieces and tracing, I pulled the original pads off, laid them upside down on the mylar and traced around them (that was so much easier than trying to get the mylar to not move). To get the original pieces off I used a razor knife to lift up one corner then pulled each one off, they came off without too much difficulty and without tearing (Correct Craft uses some pretty heavy swim platform material - much heavier than most other boats). I followed SeaDeks video for cleaning the platform after I buffed it with rubbing compound and polish to clean up all of the board scuffs. Installation was easy and took maybe 30 minutes. The most difficult part was making sure the pieces were in the correct position in the recessed area without having shadows or lines from the original (that's what I get for polishing the platform).

I tried to get the pictures in the correct order - but apparently I have failed Forum Editing 101. I'll take a remedial class and try to do better next time.

How much did the platform pads cost? What lake do you ride in GA.?

The platform was an overstock item so it was only $200. They said it would be around $400 for a custom order.

        We're on Alatoona and Hartwell.

I got it from SeaDek at SeaDek.com, someone on here posted a link to some overstock they had on sale and that got the ball rolling. I have always disliked the black sano pad that came on the platform - it was hard and got extremely hot while in the sun - I didn't want to replace it with the newer white sano pad because that would only solve one of my problems. When I saw this I figured that was the perfect winter upgrade.

Nice ya I thought the gray sano was nice up untill I stepped in my buddies new 230 with the seadeck! Do you happen to know if seadeck sells platforms? Or any other aftermarket manufacturer that does? I have a team grid on my 02 that I'm doing a full overhaul on the whole boat fully updating it to 06 I been looking for a fiberglass grid but no luck do far.

Looks sick! guess I know where my next $400 will go after the new system gets paid for.

                  Thanks for sharing!

                  Great winter upgrade.

Here's a pic of my 230 platform. Just picked it up from Nautiques of Orlando. They did an excellent job. Go see Ed there or give him a call (407) 425-2628. This is far better than the old Sano and worth the cost.

I second shag's recommendation. Ed is the man! I will go out of my way to give Nautiques of Orlando my biz because of his and their fine customer service. Ed truly cares about his customers and making sure they are completely happy before they leave.
