    Shore stations

I am looking for advice re: covered shore stations for an air 216 TE. I plan to store the boat on a covered shore station during the summer. Is there a specific shore station model that better accomadates for a boat with a tower? If you put your boat in a covered shore station, does it stay protected enough to avoid covering/ uncovering it all the time with a boat cover. Thanks for the advice.

    RE: Shore stations

Good question - I am looking at options now too. I will use a cover all of the time, but am interested in info on Shore Stations that can be used without lowering the tower.

I believe that the company "Shore Station" makes extensions that can raise the top on the shore station higher. I have an uncle with an X-9 and he has a shore station with the regular height poles. His boat barely fits under the top when pulling it in and then he can raise the boat high enough to barely get the prop out of the water with the tower still up.

        canopy

unless you get a canopy that hangs down atleast 4 feet from the top it won't be enough to properly protect the boat without the boat cover. there are atleast two people with canopies that don't fold their towers down and the boat is barely still in the water and the canopy is pretty much useless. i'd fold the tower or get a custom canopy with drape type sides that can roll up and down.

imagine how high the canopy would have to be to accomodate a boat with a tower not folded down.
        I don\'t care.
