    SN 200 Cover and Cleats

For the guys with a 200 and a Nautique cover, can you please tell me if you can access the cleats with the cover on the boat? I need to tie off with the boat in the water overnight while I am on vacation. I obviously don't have the boat yet in order to check myself. I am curious if I am going to have to find another cover option.

Well my cover on the 200 came with inserts that get sewn in by a local canvas shop. It should only cost about $10 per insert to have done.

Same here. In my opinion, that is the best way for them to do it. You don't have any holes if you don't need to access the cleats with the cover on, and they give you the pieces that you need to enable cleat access, all you have to do is have them sewn in.

It would be nice if you could request it from the factory. But I agree.

It would be nice if they came in a color other than boil-over black, but those are the breaks of having it come from the factory. Thanks again.

Blue Ski- You don't show in your profile where you are located, but if you are in a hotter climate, don't get the factory black cover. I'm in AZ and 2 years ago I posted about how the heat under my black factory cover warped all the seat back boards and was starting to burn the vinyl. Correct Craft covered the interior replacement pieces and my dealer had a grey cover made for me locally. No problem since then. I don't understand why they don't just make it in grey if they only want to make one color. If you are in the northern US area, no problems. But I wouldn't risk it if you are in one of the southern states.

I am in the midwest, but we can get some scortching heat. I know friends that had a black cover on Lake Erie cruiser, their mercury thermometer exploded in the mid-summer heat. On a positive note, the high heat is a good way to sterilze the interior by cooking it to medium-well.
