Has anyone formally named your Nautique? I can't recall seeing many ski or wakeboarding boats with names on them unless it's a sponsor. Just curious if you have, what you named yours.

Conclusion: blasphemy but a few have done it anyway.

I have a feeling we're in the minority but, yes, we have named our boat. It's "nauti-cats". Our previous bow rider was "wet-n-wildcats". My wife and I both went to K-State so it seemed natural to incorporate cats into the names. Some friends of ours also named their boat. They are on there second Nautique so the name if "Naut-again".

I've seen stickered names but it's not usually an official tag. Just another way some people like to personalize their boats.
We've never put a sticker on but we have names we use to refer to different boats. We've got a 71 ski nautique that is widely known by family and friends and common lake folks as the "ski antique".Last edited by Texan1554; 03-02-2012, 12:06 PM.2002 SANTE

Nothing wrong with a good name - our first boat had two glass panels in the floor for viewing the ocean floor - 21 Ft dive boat, when we lived in S Florida. The name was "Bottomless". You just have to pick a good name !06 Ski Nautique 196 SE (2010)

The 'official' rules are 26' and above get names, and shorter than 26' don't. But hey, it's your boat. I put "Family Time" on the Gekko, but my pet name for it was Mater (as in TOW Mater). Now that's funny rit der! I was going to put MATER on the boat license plate and ITOWMATER on the truck. But traded to the Nautique before that happened. Haven't been inspired to name the Nautique.

Our first first boat was called Cinnamon Girl .It was just a run about beechcraft my wife came up with the name ,the 26 ft rule does not apply to ocean boats . After buying are new boat out of California my wife wanted to name it California Girl both are songs and fun. I had a old guy who is quite famous along the west coast hand paint it in the font we liked he signs all of his jobs with a little seagull,he hand painted our boat letters as well ,It looks really good. If my wife wants to name HER BOAT .she can name it anything she likes ,as long as I get to use it

We had an 03' Harley that I called "No Stress" due to the stress relief from working all the time. Sold the Harley 2 years ago to purchase our Ski, which now is formally named "No Stress II". We have a little decal that is on the observer side window that has the name No Stress II with By The Levins Since 2010 under it in smaller letters. Kinda a play on the Nautiques, By Correct Craft Since 1925 decal. My wife says I'm obsessed with the boat!
