For anyone at the event, did they mention if the SAN 230 is going to be cut at the end of this model year? While the G23 has grown on me in looks, and I'm sure the wake is stellar, I still prefer the classic lines of the 230. Given the sticker shock of the G23, I could almost imagine them keeping the 230 in the model lineup to capture some buyers who want that size boat for less money. I realize this likely won't happen, but as a new 230 owner, I hate to see my boat already become discontinued.

On the upside, I would imagine used 230s will retain strong resale value, as the inflationary pricing of the G23 should keep the 230 market very active.

I dont get what everyone is saying about "sticker shock" on the new G23 -- I saw an MSRP of like $107,000? Why is this a shock ? A team edition 230 with the 409 in it has an MSRP of $105,388 and thats before adding in any options...

I really like all the cool features, LED lighting etc etc but I still cant get over that front end --

The g23 is sick in every way. The bow looks awesome , the transom is wicked even nicer than the 230, the windshield looks way better, seadeck everywhere!! That hull is HUGE!!

And oh yes - as many others have said and I agree...Nautique, the timing of this boat was completely a big fat slap in the face to those of us that ordered 2012 230's...

A huge thank you to NautiqueJeff for doing a great job passing on a lot of great pics and information. The G23 looks like a superior quality boat with a great design. I care less about originality. I'm looking forward to owning one...someday!

And it came to pass that on the seventh day, the Nautique engineers rested and the marketing team renamed the G23, THE DEATH STAR!

The huge walk through in the transom is really the only thing I don't like about the G23. I prefer having a fully solid sun pad.

From what I've seen this boat is fantastic. What stands out to me is Nautique's attention to detail. When you see the boat moving on the water the gelcoat line on the rear of the hull follows the line of the water spray (they did this on the 200 also with the angled gelcoat colors on the side of the hull), almost exactly - now that's attention to detail.

it's not a slap in the face. it's called continued production. how many 230's do you think would have sold if they had let you know a year ago they were coming out with something new? they can't have the order board dry up. Same thing with the 200 and cars...Just bad luck/timing on your part.

I completely understand the order flow issues -- however, the timing could have been done much differently and would have been much more palatable...

Maybe a dumb question but what's the "G" for?

I assume its a link back to the development code/name "Gray."

Nice boat, but I will never be able to justify a 100k+ msrp for a 23 foot bowrider. It does look a lot better than the new Xstar.
