Yep my best cleanings happen in the middle of the lake alone. Wife and friends are coming down Saturday morning and i'm leaving this afternoon for my alone time.

^^Haha, ditto! Glad I'm not the only one. I break away after the fam has been on the boat for the day. I drop them off then get out for a solo cool down mission. Having a cold beer by yourself on your Nautique in the middle of the lake after a day with the fam ---- the best.

My wife is out of town, and I am going to go visit my Nautique this weekend too. But it will not be a love fest. In fact, I am going to be drilling two 3/4" holes in her and doing all sorts of other banging and bruising to her.

I can't believe all the people saying how ugly the new boat is, heck it's ridiculous all they've seen is a couple far from crisp magazine photos, like all nautiques I guarantee the new g23 looks will grow on you, I for one already think it looks great! Obviously the wake was and is the #1 priority, but IMO the looks didn't suffer one bit! I'm excited to see more and better quality pics!! Of course owning I e myself is nothing more than a dream as of now!

Oh and it looks nothing like the moomba mojo!

no doubt about that ... regarding the new boat, from the looks of the hull and its apparent freeboard / depth it should throw a HUGE wake if weighted adequately. Also, i dont think it looks half as bad as some are saying and can see it growing on us, much like previous model changes have. In fact, i think i kinda like it already

I can tell you from surfing the malibu forum when the mxz was introduced, the malibu guys absolutely HATED that boat at first. All I read was how ugly the boat was and how malibu screwed up big time by introducing a non-traditional bow. blah blah blah. You would have laughed about all the complaints of how the mxz was nothing but a churched up axis. It's funny how now, a year later, that same crowd loves the mxz and appreciates the benefits of a nice open bow.

I can tell you guys that I was half expecting a similar reaction here when the photos were leaked. I'm glad to see that most people here are open minded enough to give the boat a chance before jumping on the hate bandwagon in terms of the bow and other new aspects of the boat.

I, for one, hope that the g23 produces an awesome wake, and incorporates some new technology that will continue to push things in the right direction in terms of wakeboats. I also hope that it's not stupid expensive like the new xstar is going to be. Who knows. I'll be anxiously awaiting details as they are posted here on Saturday.

Haven't been on here in a while. Hope everyone's doing well btw.

the only drawback to a bow like that is doenst look "traditional". Once people get past that, the benefit of a more open bow and more seating showe themselves better. it is a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, while malibu, MC, axis, MB, even moomba came out with a boat like that first, and Nautique sat back to see the public reaction to this untraditional setup. Now that every ski boat has a bow like this, it really isnt revolutionary, just another logical step for any manufacturer.

Not saying that this is all this boat has to offer, not in the least, just one observation from the outside looking in.

I think the boat looks mad tough! And like ive been saying since the first vid came out - if that wake IS in fact what it looks like - that boat is gonna be the sickest on the water - period!

All this mojo talk - just cause they both have a deck boat bow??? Please dont put Moomba & Nautique in the same sentence. GOODNESS GRACIOUS!
