    What's Wrong With This Picture

Sorry if this is already addressed somewhere, but I could not find the answer using Search.

I am not liking the flight clips on my 2002 FCT.

Problem is that I can't put two boards on each side because the boots on the inside board hit the tower. Hopefully this is not just me, so modification clues (besides extending the clips outward past the widest part of the boat when tower is collapsed) are welcome!

no need to modify them. yes they suck. i really miss the mc almost horizontal, rotating, clamping racks. the outside board can go either way, but the inside board has to go a certain way. i don't remember if it's toes up or down, but we put a 147 w/ xxl boots in there all the time with another normal person's board on the outside or wherever they end up. there are aftermarket racks i've seen that are similar to the mc racks and/or newer c.c. racks, but i don't know the names. i'm sure someone on here has made the switch.

If you have any boards with open toe boots, put them on the inside racks, toes down. If not, well you can always put the flight clips on the top part of the tower.

I'm not a fan of the flight clips either. Like Chexi said, open toe bindings toes down worked best for me. I eventually got tired of dealing with the flight clips and bought a set of OEM spinners.

Thanks to all for taking the time to respond. Not liking them and not being smart enough to use them are two different things!
