What clearance is needed on a 2012 Sport 226?

I am considering purchasing a 2012 Sport 226. My boat dock has a rather low clearance.

What is the clearance needed between the water line and the top of the tower?

I don't know the answer to your question, but would you consider lowering the tower? Might get old, might be worth it. If you lower the tower, you have pretty good clearance.

Had the same issue when we bought our 2011 210. I made some wood wedges out of a 2 X 6 and glued carpet to them. They go in where the factory wedges are. That allows the tower to come down just enough to clear the top of the dock when lifted all the way up. This way we can leave the Z 5 bimini attached at the front. Only the two rear mounts have to be unhooked.
