Greetings All!! Hope this finds everyone well.
I have not been on the water since last April because my lake is down more than 10 ft. It is spring fed, 3 of them to be exact, but can't keep up with the rate of evaporation. There's no end in sight. According to the expert's, this drought will continue through 2013. It would take 5-7 tropical storms to come and hover over Fla. for days to raise the lakes back to normal. ARRRRGH!!! The only way I know that I can ski is to pull the Nautique down to Orlando. That's just too far and I don't have the time, or money for gas to make that trek.
I hope no one else is in the same boat, pardon the pun. Wifey and I ride 50 miles every weekend on our road bikes. Gym everyday. Beach every weekend. Skiing has ALWAYS been a part of every weekend, so this is killing me. Not gonna sell my beloved SN, but looking at it sitting there makes me crazy. My band is being asked to play more than I wanted to schedule, but I guess I'll book us more since being in bed at a decent hour isn't required as it stands.
Dear God, send us rain. For ALL the reasons we need it.
Here's wishing you guys a fun filled season. Think of wifey and I as you rip through the course.
Regards!
Always respectful,
Mikey
