    Warranty transfer questions

    I'm trying to figure out how the transferable warranty on our '08 may work. Our scenario;

    -The dealer who sold us the boat as a consignment is now an ex-Nautique dealer
    -This dealer said they were looking into how to do a transfer
    -It will be a week this Saturday, and still nothing from the dealer

    I'm pretty sure if I want to transfer the warranty, it should happen as part of the sales transaction, is this correct?
    Is there something I can do a buyer? How would this process work if the boat was purchased from an individual?
    Will my local dealer be my contact point for warranty parts? I.E. would I bring him the boat so he can confirm issues and order the parts? Do these parts have to be installed by the dealer?

    thanks,

    If you have the manual that came with the boat there are two forms in the back, one for lifetime on structural of deck and hull, the other for parts only for the remainder of the 5 years since original purchase. Each warranty is $300.00, include your bill of sale and send to Nautique, you must do this within 15 days of sale. PCM is seperate. If you do not have manual, go to Nautique website and download Ron

        Anybody with experience on how to interact with a dealer in regards to a transferred warranty? Would I bring it to my local dealer and explain what I want them to do, or?

          Yes, take it to your local dealer. He will submit a warranty claim to CCI for the requested warranty items. He will then proceed based upon response from CCI Warranty Dept.
