I just got my 95 super sport and want to add a tower. I'm looking at a monster or FCT. The monster tower costs much less than the FCT. I would appreciate some imput on the differences and whether the FCT is worth the extra cost.

RE: Which wakeboard tower?
Interesting one, Many argue the FCT keeps the whole continuity thing going. and it is a great tower. very stiff, nice finish, good height etc..
However I am a big fan of the Monster Tower, Theres alot of people going to mock me on this but i just put one on my 2005 SAN. I ordered without tower and put the Monster on. I believe that its an awesome tower, just as stiff, finish is awesome, folds down lower then the FCT, 5 year warranty (not sure what the Warranty is on an FCT) looks sweet and holds all my gear.
Our boats are pretty similar so i'll post a pic when i get a chance to give you an idea of what the Super sport hull looks like with a monster on it.

RE: Which wakeboard tower?
I put one on my 95SN last year, I took the FCT on my new 05 211. It's a good question even with hindsight I can't give you a clear answer what I would do in your position. If your boat was a direct drive then I would definately go with the monster but your boat is very close in design to some of the new boats, a FCT might help it look much newer and correct. On the other hand the Monster folds much lower, and the overall cost is much less after you consider the accessories. I actually kept my Monster rack and mirror for my 05 211. The Monster will definately be easier to install, that could be the deciding factor if I was making your decision.

towers
if you want to make your super sport more oem, then go with the factory flight control tower, 2000 year on up. I wouldnt put a aftermarket tower on a supersport or super air for resale value reasons. If you plan on keeping your super sport, and money is an issue, then go with the monster tower, but it wont be recognized as a san or nautique from a distance, just a boat with a tower.
The 2000 on up flight control towers on the nautiques are classic's. You can tell a nautique just by the tower!
my two cents.

RE: towers
If I see a new mastercraft, supra, moomba, tige on the lake, they all look the same these days, 05 towers look but ugly, one big rollbar and some side billet support brackets, they kind of look like the old joy stick roll bar towers, they were even 2.5 inches in diameter back then?

RE: towers
I would definitely go with the FCT. I just got a 2003 FCT a few months back and am going to be installing it on my 95 SS next week. I have already done a mock up and the thing fits perfectly. The tower is made for that boat. When I do my install I'll post some picks.Ummm, I\'ll take the REAL 210 please. Thanks.

Thanks for the responses, and I would appreciate some pics. One thing I liked about the Monster tower is that you can order a compatible bimini from their website. Does anyone know of a website that makes bimini tops to fit with the FCT?
I guess $800 shouldn't be the deciding factor when I have this much invested in the boat.

Tower Biminis makes GREAT biminis. They're strapless, quite large, and very stable. It is very easy. The front bar is held in place with two thumb screws. the center and rear bars are held in place with spring-loaded pins. What I have done is attach each pin/screw to the tower with an elastic band so that I don't have to worry about losing them or dropping them in the water. I remove the center pins first, then the thumb screws (leaving the rear pins in place) and let everything fall onto the back seat. Then I pull all of the poles together and wrap the fabric around the poles. The cover zips into place. You can either reattach the center pins at that point to leave the covered top in place, or you can totally remove the top. The whole process takes less than a minute, and I usually do it alone.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. My vote is for the FCT 2000+ tower. I really like this tower on a sport/air Nautique. Although they are maybe more expensive then other towers. Here is a 2000FCT on a 1997 Sport Nautique...230 with ZR6 running on propane
