Portable Dock Solution Anyone?

We have water access property on Canyon Lake, Texas. The shore is owned by the Army Corps...and no one but marinas is allowed to install permanent docs. In addition to that...most of the shore is pretty rocky. You are allowed to moore your boat in the water, or on shore for something like 72 hours at a time...but not permanent. Any clever folks out there have an idea how I could build/install a portable docking system for my 210 SAN? Be great to "park" it somewhere while we go to shore for lunch/breaks/pick up new people...or even tie it up for a few hours.

Heard of something called an ease-ashore...not sure if anyone has used that before. Any other ideas? I am especially interested in home built solutions.

We are on canyon all the time. The corps wil be all over you if you put any type of structure in the water. My buddy put a huge cinder block anchor and he dives down every Saturday and makes a buoy for the weekend. The blocks stay in the water, he just removes the floating buoy. It is setup so his boat is about a foot from hitting the rocks when it swings. He has placed a huge boulder that makes a great diving platform/boarding platform. It looks completely natural and keeps the corps boys happy. We can literally walk off the boat onto the rock. It works like a champ. I have seen several others doing the same. He told me the corps guys cut his anchor line once or twice which is why he takes it down during the week.

Until our border patrol can get things under control, canyon has the best water in the state of Texas!
