Im gettting ready to take advantage of the Delta prop deal and am on the fence on these two. I had a 644 until my friend got into an argument with a wingdam. Im running the 536 or whatever came stock and needless to say that thing sucks. I had the 644 for a few years and never thought twice about it, but did a search and now I'm unsure. I think the 12xx or 14xx will be too much as I dont add more than 500-750 above stock with 5 people and run mainly at sea level to 2000ft, max. I definitley do some cruising from spot to spot. Anyone notice that much of a difference between these two?

I run 1250 total, 400 over stock and I just got the 1464 and I can tell you, it is night and day. MIT holds speed on the perfect pass sooooo much better and it is awesome out of the hole. I was told by several people that it will affect the top end by only 3mph or so, so I gave it a shot. I am glad I did too. I am also running a 03san at about 800ft. I thought it would be too aggressive too, but figured what the heck. Delta will honor the 30 day trial period so you have nothing to loose if you are thinking about it.

I originally went from the 536 to the 644, but now run the 1464. (I run about 2000-2400 lbs.) You will not be disappointed with the 1464 IMO and if you ever decide to run more weight you won't have to re-prop again. Below are the specs, (didn't list the 536 anymore) as you can see there isn't much difference between the 644 and 856 and you will hardly notice it. Like TRDon already said try the 1464 for 30 days and se what you think. I bet you will stick with it.
644 13.25 x 16.000 0.105 cup
856 13.25 x 15.500 0.060 cup
1464 13.50 x 14.250 0.105 cupJason

1236, no question. I have a 644, 856, and 1236. The 1236 is, without a doubt, the best prop. I normally run about 700 lbs over stock, so about 1500 lbs total (not that much).Current: 2017 G23

Ive been running the 1236 for 3 years now, its a great prop. I run 3000-4000lbs. Never has any problem getting on plane, except at 4500ft, I have to run about 2500lbs. When I was getting a prop the 1236 was pretty new and they told me that in theory the extra cup would grip the water better, preventing prop slippage and giving a little better fuel economy. So the 1464 would get more slip, turning it faster and allowing it to pull a little harder with the higher RPM's generated.
