    Boat insurance

Hello, my name is Jay and I am the Asst. Claims Manager at SkiSafe. I'm sure you're all as excited as we are that a brand new boating season is upon us. I just wanted to remind you that while we hope everyone has a really fun and safe season, you have insurance for security and peace of mind. If you do need to file a claim, our knowledge and experience dealing exclusively with boat and jetski insurance enables us to provide you with the best possible claims service. If you need us, you can speak with someone by calling (800) 225-6560 during our extended in-season hours or file a report online 24/7 at www.skisafe.com and one of our adjusters will follow up with you.

If you don't have insurance on your boat, or you've simply heard about our great rates and coverage, you can work up a free quote for insurance on our website or call one of our boat specialists.

    Thanks,
    Jay

Just went line for line with SkiSafe and my Progressive policy. Saved $160. Woman on the phone took the time to explain everything to me. Highly recommended. Thanks Skisafe!

I have skisafe for my 2012 210 and my bennington pontoon. I had a mishap with my pontoon and had a check from skisafe within a week of filing the claim. Great insurance co!

          Hi TxJole,

We all know that no one was trying to pull a fast one on you. A 210 Team Edition was definitely made at the Orlando factory back in 2008. We currently have an A.P.B. out on any computer gremlins that might have been giving you an issue with our web system. In the meantime I would be happy to quote your Nautique and other boats. Please call me directly at 1-800-225-6560 ext 234; I look forward to speaking with you.

          Thanks,

          Rich

It appears that Ski safe must have had a change of business leadership. I had to go with another company a few years ago (Ace) and am very happy with them. At the time, after being with SkiSafe for for almost 20 years and no claims - they wanted to almost double my premium at the time, for no real reason other than it "was required" according to staff...... Nice to see others are satisfied.

Don't worry. ACE will do it to you soon enough. Took them about 4 years before they pulled that on me. And, for the record, I don't have a SkiSafe policy either.

We just need to talk about the 4 month layup. I won't/can't/will not go 4 months without coverage.

                      That can be the rub.

                        Good Morning TxJole,

The Lay-Up is an option that we offer to folks that don't use their boat for an extended period of time. It's still covered while in storage during that time period, just not for navigation. You could also opt for full year navigation as well. We have the ability to tailor the coverage to your individual needs, and as always, we'll be happy to work with you to make sure you have the coverage you want and need.

Just give me a call if you’d like to discuss.

                        Thanks,
                        Rich

Do you have to call to get the PN discount?

Is a 4 month layup a coverage lapse, and thus the gimmick behind the "discounts"?
