new 200 battery compartment

Guys

When I get water in the bilge (sometimes after washing) my battery compartment fills up with water!


The water comes in thru the small drain hole in the battery compartment (doesnt drain) ..........i thought it was supposed to work the other way around

anybody experienced same

The only time I have found water in the compartment is when it has entered from above (water over the bow) and it has drained as designed. It would seem like it would requite a lot of water in the bilge to back up into the compartment.
