    Wakemaker Tankbuster System

Anyone installed a wakemaker Tankbuster system in their SAN? How easy was it to install, how well does it operate did it make a big difference on the wake size, did you get the 400 or 750 lb sacks?

Tank buster (removal and replace with fat sac)? I did the piggy back and Wakemakers was very helpful, answered all my questions, and set up the hoses and all the fittings needed.

Yes tank buster is the removal of the tanks. i hae read some people not having good results with the piggyback system so i went with the tank buster.

Search for n3, he posted on a thread a while back with pictures of the wake he ended up with after removing his tank and replacing with a sac. I'd say he is very satisfied with the end result, as am I with mine.

If you do some searches on ballast and remove I think you'll find some examples.

If you run 750s in the back, put a big sac in the locker, and some additional weight in the bow for a 60:40 Stern: Bow ratio, you will get a huge wake (scary huge to hacks like me). You may need to re-prop though if you haven't already. I don't know if I will ever wakeboard again with full 750s in the back. Surf yes, wakeboard no. But then again, I'm an old man who is transitioning to foiling anyway.

I'm in the process of a ballast puppy auto ballast system install on my 2000 SAN. Last weekend I installed the thru-hulls and pumps. This weekend I am installing the rest. I am taking pictures and will post. That said, there are a lot of good install threads. Most of my stuff came from wakemakers, but I did not buy the tank-buster system per se.

I did the piggybank upgrade with the bow sac (under the seats). Pretty easy install, only difficult part was getting the original overflow hose off. In my boat (2008 210) it was hard to reach and it had a really tight fit.
Otherwise pretty simple install and works great so far !

Reaching the forward overflow for the belly tank at the thru-hull, you mean? (Get under the dash and wiggle in to reach it...been there. Got my 12 year old in there and he could reach it but needed help getting the hose off the thru-hull!)
