SeaDek Faux Teak for a 220 replacing carpet

Made some headway. Working with dealer to create the templates for All the Sano and carpet areas in my 220 next week. Will post once the templates have been approved by SeaDek and what the next step in the process is...

I am looking for anyone who has installed faux teak made by SeaDek in thier 220 to replace the carpetting. I am trying to avoid creating a new pattern. Please help. Thanks

I have the Sano & Carpet kits created...I am stoked!!! Thanks for the help from Jeff @ Regal & Nautique of Orlando and Joe @ SeaDek We are working on the dry fit of the pieces and SeaDek should have the kit available for anyone to place order in 3 weeks, believe it takes 4 weeks to fill an order. Retail $545 in any of the teak color combinations and $435 in our standard embossed two color 6mm. I have asked for the price for the platform & steps (they have this template already created)

Kind of curious for those that are getting or plan to get seadek instead of carpet...i am kind of interested myself but curious how they plan on handling ability to remove big center removable floor section?

You can either cut out the SeaDek around the screws, or install the screws through the top of the SeaDek. Or you can just lay the SeaDek over the screws and hope you won't have to get in there!

I am assuming that if I wanted to remove my carpet on my 99 SN, and replace it with SeaDek I would have to make a complete templete? Has anybody heard of doing this to a SN versus a SAN? Thanks for any help. -Marc

I was wondering this same thing with my 2002 SAN. But isn't the flooring a composite material? Would you have to replace the flooring with a (can't think of the name of the material right now, brain dead this morning) plastic polymer board? Has anyone heard of this type of project in a older SAN/210?

I would think you would need a gel coated floor to have a clean Sea Dek install.

Still confused...Right now the carpet and associated grommets goes a couple inches past the floor cut out.over the floor cutout. So if you put seadek where carpet goes then if you have to take panel out then you would have to unscrew thru seadek and cut big section. Or seadek would have to be sized to be just floor cutout or something different to allow panel removal....????

My point is that is not just as simple as making template from carpet, i don't think. The seadek would have to be designed for floor panel and then more around and above perhaps.

The prep work on my SAN 2007 220 started today at Regal & Nautique of Orlando. I will stop by tomorrow and take some pics. I believe they are removing the snaps for the carpet/ filling holes and the seadek goes right on top. Removing all the sano areas will be some work....

That is correct, and that is how all of the SeaDek installations that I have seen have been done.

Jeff, so are the ones you seen just sized for the floor cutout? Or do they go past it where the carpet would have been?

The seams of the seadek are also the seams as the floor panels. So you will not have to cut the seadek to remove a panel.

Ray, I'm curious how this works out for you. I just bought my boat from there and I'd love to see this in my boat too. What were the install costs like? Total out of pocket?
