How big can a 2008-2012 Super Air 210 wake get?

I know..kind of a vague question, but I am looking at buying a 2011 SAN 210 and didnt want to sell myself short on max wake size. I have riden a friends 2008 SANTE for the last few years and love the wake. He has factory ballasts (full) and about 600lbs of lead in it and its very clean, shapely, and fairly good sized, but I feel I want more. I was just curious of how much bigger a 210's wake can go with added weight? I love the Nautiques and I know a 230 can be weighted to make a huge wake, but a 230 is to large of a boat for my use and way more $$ than I can afford. Is a 230's wake a ton bigger than the 210's? I have riden a new 230 with factory ballast, 6 people in the boat, and it didnt seam to be as nice as the 210 I am used to. any help oradvice is appreciated

an 07+ 210 with internal ballast PLUS 2,000lbs wake is REDIK! as big as youll ever need. If you feel you need bigger, then youll need a G23 cause the 210 with that much weight is as good as it gets.

Yes, i can tell you from much experience that the 210 wake can get crazy big! It isn't as wide as a 230 or a G23, but it can get really big. I have run stock plus about 2,400 pounds of lead for the past two years, and it is as big as you would ever need.

I actually like the 210 wake better than the 230 wake. I am in the minority here though.

Check out my 210 in this vid from 2.20 and freeze it at 3.07 for a good look at the wake. Running factory ballast, 6 peeps, plus flyhigh sac in the walk thru and 2 x flyhigh wedge sacs that day and the wake was mackin!!!

Only gets bigger and better with more weight...

IMO, yes, it is...much bigger. I ride the 230 a few times a week, and then get maybe 10 sets a year in the 210. Both are pretty much slammed with weight (though I'll admit that the 210 could maybe take another 400 pounds of ballast in it). When the 210 owner comes out and rides with us, he is usually just awestruck at how big the wake is. A few other attributes that I prefer about the 230 wake is that it is steeper and much more firm that the 210 (at least with how we weight it). It's likes going off of a concrete ramp....you just get booted.

The most important thing about a wake, is that it is what YOU prefer. Try to demo both boats with extra ballast if you can, and pick the one you like best.

Something to consider - we ride the 230 with around 5500 pounds of weight in it. With that much weight, you're going to need to ride quite-a-bit faster than most prefer. We ride at 90ft @ 26.5 mph. The 210 you'll be able to ride slower and with a shorter line. We do have one guy that rides the 230 (same weight setup as us) at 75 ft at about 25.5 mph...still faster than most would like, though. Here's a few pics of the 230's wake. As well as the ballast setup. In addition to the bags you see in the picture, there is an 1100 pound sac on both sides of the engine (removed factory tanks).

Doesn't that overload your boat? I hope you over built your trailer to handle the extra weight? Or do you only load the lead ballast once it on the water?
