Honest Opinion?

Hey Guys,

I recently requested an exchange on my original bimini for a Tower Bimini. I really like the new mechanism, but am unsure about the color scheme. The original was all black and the new one is black with red highlights. The dealer was trying to give the bimini a little bling when he added the red without asking, I am just not sure if I like it. Help me out.

Which do you like the best?

BTW, the dealer and I have a great relationship. He has helped with all of the color decisions so far, and we are very pleased - just not sure on the bimini. This dealer is great to deal with!

I think it looks good. Was your original bimini the stock one? The one that came with my boat sucks I can't expand or collapse it without taking it down. It is a real pain in the ***. I'm not sure if the design is just poor or my dealer mounted it wrong. I do like your new bimini though... looks clean and profesional.

I agree. I think the new one looks much better than the old one. The only opinion that matters, though, is yours. If you don't like it, send it back and have them make you one with a different design.

I like the new bimini, looks great! Although I wonder if you will need to move it down a couple of inches on the tower to block more sunlight?

In terms of the trim color I think it really does give it a nice little kicker. It matches the stripes on the side of your boat and gives it a very "polished" look.

I like my bimini pretty well, but it would be really nice to not have to pull off one leg to fold it up.

I agree also; I like the red trim with the black better than the all black.

Wow, this is the exact feedback I am looking for! I have to admit, it is growing on me with time. I think I will give it a few days to sink in.

Oh, btw, the other changes are the removal of the cover snaps and added tower mirror. MD Boats also detailed it for me without a request! Those guys are great. Don't you go asking for free detailing and get me in trouble though.

The new bimini is great. Of course it is ultimately up to you but my two cents says keep it. I think you were just caught off guard. It is not at all over done.

I really like the tower mirror. Did you find that the stock mirror got in the way? I had a difficult time trying to attach the stock mirror to my new boat. Dealer stated that he didn't attach because he wasn't sure where I wanted it and if he attached it, it would not be easily moved without scratching the windshield finish. It didn't seem to be designed for the thickness of the 211 windshield.

I prefer the Black / Red Combo...i guess you call it the New one.
Just so you know, since I have the same color scheme of your 211, the color of my bimini top is Black / Red Combo. It will have a Red Stripe in the middle, so, our boats will almost be "TWINS"..... LOL ..... cept that i got the 226.

My bimini is suppose to come in this weekend and Im scheduled to pickup the boat on Wed. I will take pics and show yah.

very nice AN211.. I love it, but of course, I'm biased! I don't believe I got a bimini with mine (i'll have to wait 3 more weeks). my preference is the Tower Bimini. I have to say though, I had my other boat for 16 years and never once had the top out.. when I sold it, I Had to get it out to make sure it hadn't rotted away.. it looked brand new.

PS>. I like the rear view of the boat.. I just received the N A U T I Q U E decal that is on the back of the SV211 and have it on the rear window of my truck.. looks pretty awesome.. not to tacky!

Air211...After looking at the pictures further, I REALLY like the red trim. Your boat looks AWESOME. The red trim is not too much at all. The red also says that it is custom! A nice touch. What next year? You've done the mirror and the topper. What about the light on top of the tower?
