I ordered mine with the XS550 so hopefully will be able to get up to speed pretty quick! Not sure I will ever need to add an additional 2000 lbs tho ... werent the pros only going 1000 lbs over stock? haha

In terms of actual handling, as in tight sharp turns, docking, etc. does it feel like a tank there? or like a nautique? I am coming from a 2005 226 and I was amazed at how well it hugged the water in high speed turns, almost no roll Our lake is fairly big so we do a lot of cruising as well as the water sports.

Mine has the 15x12. With the extra weight, it will turn sharp, but not as sharp as a 230...those things are like Corvettes on water! Docking seems to be just like any other Nautique.

The pros are riding it with about 2000 pounds extra as well. The 450 is definitely plenty of engine for maximizing the wake. This boat gets to a certain point where more weight does not make it bigger.
