    2003 SANTE bilge question

this weekend i weighted down the boat for surfing and several times water came over the bow into the boat. Why is there no drain plug in the middle of the boat. It appears that the bilge in the middle of the boat is the only drain source but it doesnt pull all the water out. This morning I had to use towels and drain the water out into a 5 gallon bucket. the water was nasty and it wasnt fun.

besides driving the boat better next time does any have any input on this issue.
    thanks

Remove the drain plug on the transom, lift the tongue of the trailer up high enough to let it drain. I will normally remove the plug and partially back down the ramp at my marina every few weeks to drain any trapped water. The bilge towards the bow sits lower than the rear, so putting the boat at an incline lets the water drain from front to back.
