He will not be able to buy new in New Jersey. He's out of that dealer's territory.

Just playing devils advocate in this hypothetical situation but if I wanted to work with an out of area dealer, who's to stop me. This is America after all

The dealer won't sell u a boat to cross territories. Part of thier contract to sell. Try it and let us know how it goes.

Not sure if it's changed since then, but I purchased a new boat out of territory back in the spring of 2010 with no issues at all. The dealer gave me a deal that no other dealer could match in my area. That would stink if another dealer could give this guy a great deal, but he couldn't buy the boat because it was out of his territory.

TxJole is correct -- an out of area dealer will not (or is not supposed to) sell you a boat if you live within another dealer's territory. I'd simply go to your local dealer and discuss your pricing concerns with them...they want to sell you a boat and if you are ordering one and they have a known sale, I'm sure they would work you a great deal as its simply a flip for them and they get a sold order from the deal.

I don't have a dealer within 100 miles of my house in West Michigan. Elkhart IN 105 miles, Fenton MI 115 miles, Traverse City MI 143 miles. How good would factory warranty be?? Not.

You may want to check with the dealers - where I am the Nautique Dealer will pick up your boat and deliver it if it's necessary to put it in the shop, and that includes there entire territory. If it only requires a part they are happy to order the part and ship it to me. Although I've had my boat 8 years and it's needed to be in the shop a total of 1 time - I haven't had much use for this service.

back to original question. I have been shopping for a SAN 210 recently. I have only found one 210 that is under 80k. All others are in the mid 80 range.

I LOOOVE the nautiques, but I just can't justify the price of a 21 foot boat.

Depends on options, but 75-80 is about what a loaded one is running. Resale is unmatched in the wake boat world, if that helps ease the pain.

those prices must depend on the region. I am in north alabama. the nearest dealer to me is either in southern part of state (2-3 hours away) or east tennessee (about 2 hours away).

I could settle for a non team edition with z5, but those seem to be very rare.

There is also a Nautique dealer near Jackson (Boaters Choice??). I bought mine from Jeff in Fenton. I highly recommend the dealer. I have never been to the Elkhart store but it isn't far from where I keep the boat so maybe I will visit someday.
