Should start seeing them this week or next. You do know that it is a $125K+ boat right, I know you had trouble stomaching 33k for a 10 year old boat. I bet this boat is 80k+ in 10 years.

Well then the owners shouldn't have any excuse for not owning a digital camera to upload some pics for us.

Theres someone on this forum who has his trailer in waiting on the boat for delivery next week i believe. Pretty similar paint scheme to Kyle Rattrays that I spent a day with.

OMCC. At what size does a boat have to be registered with the USCG instead of the state authorities?

                These things are HUGE.

I think you have a choice State registration or having the boat which is called documented . In the long run its cheaper to document, just give it a name an there is no annual fees or numbers to mess with. that's the way understand it.

It is not a yacht classified vessel. So no USCG doc, will have to be state reg.

just for our knowledge:a boat has to be 26 feet or more and at least 5 net tons to be documented .

If you know this for a fact, and it sounds like you do, is that an "AND" or an "OR". I am asking because during to the run-up to its release, everyone and their mother was saying that the MC X80 had to be registered as a yacht and that it was something like 1 inch from being illegal to tow on normal streets. I always took "their" word for it but I didn't know who's word I was taking... X80 specs: 6,200 lbs. dry weight, 28'3'' length, 9'6'' beam 30" draft.

took it right off the coast guard site on what boats can be documented .you don't have to have the boat documented if its over 5tons you can still register it the state one lives in that's just the minimum to be-able to document

I'd need a long swim step ladder off the back platform.
