Not to be nit-picking the boat you just bought, and I'm sure you got it at a good price, but to me there is some poor gelcoat repair in the 2 circled areas... or they are just weird shadows. Did the listing detail possible problems like this?

Here is the ownership information of the boat. On the trailer, they are licensed in the county. If you could get the license plate number, the license information could be looked up to see if a VIN is listed. I'm not going to elaborate more at this point because there are many good ideas already posted on this thread that you can pursue. The bottom line is that you can get this trailer if you want it.
One thought, though. Like in my case, I titled my trailer and it is not in my boat loan. So I own it. If (by some rare chance) that is the case with this boat. Then the previous boat owner still owns the trailer. Legally, that might actually be the case even if it isn't titled. I suspect, though, that if the bank didn't believe they owned the trailer, they would be giving it back to the previous owner after the boat is sold.
Note the discussion of "Pro Air" can be dropped. It was a tangent.Last edited by AirTool; 06-12-2012, 11:58 AM.

you guys have got me on the right track!!!!!!! By zooming in on the pictures ive found it is a zeiman trailer, i called zeiman and they told me the last couple digits of the vin is welded on the frame, send those number with proof of ownership to get a new legiable vin sticker reprinted. I have the auction ppl looking for me. fingers crossed. I called correct craft and they told me individual order numbers were hand stamped on the inside frame rail by the rear axel matching up boat and trailer from the factory. The bank said they would release the trailer for me for a small monetary amount (lol bastards) but its on me to find out the VIN information. core rider, the boats a little worse for wear but after a 2 years of being nautique less, its going to be like a breath of fresh air. Air tool, your blowing my mind. How did you find out that information just from a picture!!! You can see the hull number from the rear pic but not the front! To all i did screw up. not a pro air, just wishful thinking.

You said before it "seems" like we know what we are talking about. It appeared you were still on the edge. Now you know.
If the vin search doesn't pan out from looking at the trailer, I suggest again looking up the vin from the license plate number. If somebody has to stand in line at DMV for it, we can probably find someone to do it. I think the cost is 3 dollars.

I will never underestimate the power of the nautique community again! im still waiting to hear if they find any numbers on the frame. it sucks being 1500 miles away! i have the plate numer/state from condition report pics, im unfamiliar with the DMV and how they work, can i get this information over the phone?

*update* so after some exhausting telephone calls back and forth with the bank (owner) they finally found the vin stamped on the frame. I called the trailer manufacture and ordered a new VIN plate (30 bucks) The bank is willing to sell the trailer or $800, which is kind of ignorant due to the fact if it wasn't for me doing leg work they would have had to pay to send it to the scrap yard!!!! 800 seems like a good deal from what ive being seeing around. Thoughts?
Now the only thing i have to do is get it home!!!! Anybody have any good/bad shipping experiences? What can i expect to spend? I figure the trip to Dallas and back will cost me 1500 if i take my truck down.
PS. Thanks for all the help everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
