Cover Sports Cover Fitting Question...

I saw the new thread. While I was reading it yesterday, it was deleted. I'd guess the moderator thought it violated TOS or just didn't want such an advertiser bashing thread on the forum. The title of it, as I recall, was a bit over the top but the content itself was simply cut and pastes of the email conversation with Cover Sports. I did not think it was too outrageous.

The thread you guys are referring to -- I, PM'd Jeff and asked him to delete it as I want to give one more chance to Brent before I air all the dirty laundry -- rest assured though, if they dont make it right -- I will post a new thread every week reminding everyone how poorly I was treated and what I consider to have been ripped off.

the factory cover comes with 2 support poles, one for the bow and one in the middle of the cockpit. They attach by straps fore and aft and have a piece of strapping that runs between them and up over the windshield to form a support for the cover. The cover also has 2 vents up top near the windshield that draw the cover down tight during towing. No water pools and whoever told you you can not tow with it is wrong.

I have a factory cover and also tow with it if weather requires... I make sure it's super tight and I keep in the 60-65mph range - no issues... If I drift up to 70 the strap will slip over the rub rail at the stearn and I need to pull over and adjust to keep everything tight. I did not order mine with the cut-outs for the cleats but had the front ones added so I could use the tie-down straps for the Z5 with the cover on (~$20 for the factory inserts and about $100 to have them sewn in). I haven't towed in the rain since I added these but it looks like they pull pretty tight against the boat and they're also on the side so hopefully water intrusion will be minimal.

Bought mine last year for 2006 SANTE 220. Fits nice and I love the color easy of install etc.
service was weird hard to get in touch with need to send bank payment no, phone, limited e-mail. Hardware was not right and he said he would send me the lash buttons for the back but never did.


Fits "well" during towing but does ride up at the widest part of the beam over the rub rail no matter how tight I synch the strap.

I think the cover will last but would not order another one.

have ordered 5 covers over the years, yea some times hard to get hold of, but super covers for trailing and keeping rain from pooling, no poles needed, would not be with out one when I have to travel.
