    ski nautique 176

anybody out there have any experience owning and skiing behind a ski nautique 176? i think they were offered in the late 1990's as a somewhat less expensive and slightly smaller alternative to the regular ski nautique. in particular, i am curious how they track and what are the wake characteristics in the slalom course versus the normal ski nautiques of that and current vintages. thanks.

These boats are a lot of fun to drive. You will lose some of the tracking ability over the ski nautique 196. They generally came with a carburated motor (could be upgraded). The wakes on them are awesome. Depending on where you are, I know of a couple of them for sale or just go to www.boattraderonline.com
Hope this helps and post some pics if you get one!!

thanks, sn. i was just considering a lower cost alternative than springing for a new 196. since for whatever reason we rarely see used 176's here in california, it looks like a new 196 may have to go on my christmas list. at the end of the day, that is probably the better choice anyway. thanks again.
