So with the talk about newer 210 hulls and prop sizes I got to thinking more about my older hull again. I'm running the 1464 (13.5 x 14.25 .105 cup) right now, and everything I've ever read/seen has told me larger diameter will make more difference than pitch (to a certain point). I'm thinking I can get at least a 14" prop to fit and not cause any issues with gelcoat burn since I don't run more than 4000RPM under normal conditions and that is only for 10-15 minutes to find good water.
He thought their 1846 (14 x 14.25 .150 cup) would be a good choice as long as the prop didn't get too close to the hull. I think this will keep me within their 3/8" rule as if I remember correctly I measured for a 14.5" and it would only allow for 1/8"-1/4" clearence. I also talked with him about trying some of their new 5 blade props. They didn't have any made yet, but her thought their Gen 2 series had something to offer in the 2406 (13.5 x 14.5 .105 cup). His thinking was the 14" would actually be closer to the clearance of the 14.5" 4 blades because of the blade spacing.
I guess this all leads me to the main question... Is anyone running a 14 - 14.5" diameter prop on their 2002-2006 hulls? If so what clearance do you have?
