    Prices coming back up?

started doing a search for a friend and found 211's for sale anywhere from $35K to $50K. Are used boat prices coming back up? I had told him he should be looking mid-30's but after looking around I'm not so sure. I see what people are asking for, but what are they actually selling for these days?

I'd think/hope the prices are coming back. When compared to a new boat price a 5 year old used in looking good even if it is the same price as the original owner payed.

Who would have thought owning a Nautique would be an investment.

What you may be seeing are seasonal price fluctuations. Boat prices are highest in the spring.

Well, the release of the G23 shows Nautique will not be slowing the price increase on new models any time soon. Any hype or rumor mill about a price point boat from MC or Nautique has been squashed.

The release of the G23 also brings about a heightened brand awareness. The marketing campaign for that boat was as much about Nautique being the best boats period as it was about the G23 it self.

Just keeping a loose feel for the boats being posted here, the prices are definitely higher than when I bought mine a little over a year ago.

No doubt! I broke even on my '06, and sold my '07 & '08 for more than I paid. Wish I could do that with my Tahoe!

I'm seeing ~5-10K more than expected, I'd think that's more than seasonal fluctuations.

I wonder what people are actually taking for their used boats right now? There are 53 promo boats listed on SIA right now, 24 of them being 200's. The market just appears too flooded to get top dollar, yet I've only seen a couple 200 asking prices drop into the $30's - 2010's of course.

If you see a 2010 200 in the 30's under 500 hours, it will be gone before it hits Google. People are getting 30K for a 2006 196 now.

So far I've only seen two 200's listed at $39.9k, but I bet you can get there if you wheel and deal on 2010. There's a 2011 with 100 hours on it at the dealership in Rogers MN, listed at $46k. I bet that can be negotiated, especially if it doesn't sell by the 4th.
