    Wake on a 206

I have a 2007 206 with a tower, racks, and 4 speakers. I primarily use the boat for skiiing and footing and would like to improve the wake. Do you guys think removing the tower and with all the gear will make me a better ski wake?

Removing any weight makes a difference. Run with minimal fuel, no observer (if possible), pull the back seat and nothing on the tower to save weight. You could also experiment with adding some weight in the bow. Less weight will make a better wake for sure.

I have skied behind my 1997 Ski Nautique, no tower, and a 1998 Ski Nautique with a tower. I have also ran my boat without the back seat, and down to a minimum amount of gas. My 1997 has a smaller wake, even with the back seat in the boat.

I believe removing the tower will affect the wake of the boat at slalom speeds, more that just the weight reduction would, because the tower sticking up in the air creates air drag, way above the centerline of the boat, and pitches the stern down.
