I love the boat. Just got 2008 sante 210 this weekend...Maybe should have waited for one with fct2....Anyone have any ideas on how to make folding this tower a bit easier? It is one heavy sob! PS...I already took off the speakers....

I will be interested in the replies also! Especially with the new Wetsounds Rev10's and 410, folding the tower on my 2007 SV211 is a nightmare because of the weight. I can't believe someone has not come up with some type of pully system to assist with this. I've been trying to come up with one myself.2012 230

Gym will help for sure! Otherwise a buddy! I've got the same tower as you and a pair of 485s on it, have to take one of the 485s off to fold and raise it though! I've schemed and thought for years how I can use my winch or a rope system to make it easier and avoid having to take off one of the speakers everytime but the way this thing swings I just don't think its possible unless you could park it undersomething that was about 16ft high that you could attach a winch to that would be able to lift the tower up and then lower it.

Got the muscle so the weight is not what is the big issue. I actually have used the tower to get in a few extra curls in before raising it and taking the boat out. Nothing like getting pumped up before hitting the water!
Seriously though, the issue is the height at which the tower pivots forward or rearward. I am 6'1" and it's pretty impossible to raise or lower the tower alone. My wife and kids can't really help because of the height and weight.
Like I said earlier, hard to believe someone hasn't found a way to address this before.2012 230

I heard of one guy having a notched 2x4 with a rope on the other end, and he would get in the bow and pull on the rope, and once it was broke over he would grab the front and lay it down on that 2x4 that was carpeted and placed across the bow. I'd be afraid i'd get hit by a falling 2x4 once you let go of the rope to grab the front bar. Never seen it just dock talk. I had my roof lifted on my boat house so I wouldnt have to break it down.2008 210 SAN TE (Moonraker Yellow over Midnight Blue)

When we added the bow filler cushion, it really made it easier. I am now high enough to catch the tower while my son balances it when putting down. Just the reverse putting it up. Two people lift it, he goes around to the observer seat and balances it, then I come to the drivers seat and we both lower at the same time. We put it up and down every weekend.2005 SV-211

I am unsure how the above would fit on my lift...Just kidding. I just paid $420 for four 6 foot canopy legs...I am going to raise the canopy up so I don't have to take up and down at all. Will have to figure out how to rig some side curtains for canopy some time later.
The positive is that son of a bitch tower is solid. Maybe I can put a darn diving board on it.
