Which FCT is this in the picture?

    Hi all

Can anyone tell me which tower this is? This is same boat/same yr/same tower as mine (from a magazine review)

I am looking to replace my cover and assumed this was an FCT1 but I am not sure

    Thanks

    I believe it's either an fct-1 gen 3 or an fct 2.

This is a FCT1 Tower built by Diamondback, FCT2 was built by Titan, FCT3 by Roswell, FCT4 by Diamondback, and FCT5 by Roswell.

agree on pic of towers, gen & maker... Not sure which tower I have - think the FCT 2 (folds backwards) Love my tower because I can put it down by myself
Had the FCT1 and that was a beast.

Interesting response by Roswell, are you saying that 230 tower in the original posters pic is an FCT1??

Thought the 98'-99' tower was the FCT1, then the FCT2 was what was used from 00'-09' on most or all direct drives and some Vee's, which folds forward.
After about 03' it gets a bit more confusing, the 226 used a different variation of the FCT2 which was also used on the 04' 210's and the eventual 211's followed by more and more variations until the current Z shaped tower which I would assume is the FCT5

Diamond Back built the FCT1 and FCT4's these towers were similar in shape and design. All of these towers fold forward into the bow of the boat and had a brushed anodized finish although some were offered painted i.e. the original Byerly Icon Edition. Titan built the FCT2. It was a rearward folding tower that was made from stainless tubing. The FCT3 and FCT5 are both from Roswell. They both use the cam latch system, both have weight assist sytems, and with the exception of a few early towers that were polished all of these towers have had a painted surface finish.

There were a few variations of the Diamondback towers FCT1 and FCT4's. I remember the 08 210' having grab handles and gussets with the colored Nautique logo in them.

It was around 06 I believe that the Titan FCT2 tower was first offered in the 226 then the following year was offered in all other models before it was discontinued.

The Z shaped tower was the FCT3 tower by Roswell as I recall it first offered in 2009 along with the FCT2 and the Diamondback tower. I believe the FCT3 tower was the only tower offered in 2010 and then in 2011 the FCT5 was standard on all boats except the 200's which still uses a FCT3 tower specificaaly designed for the 200.

I was a Nautique dealer for several years in the mid 2000's and this information is based off of my time as a dealer. I could be slightly off on dates possibly but I believe this is pretty close to accurate. I apologize for any possible inaccuracies but I am going off of memory and the photos I have associated with these towers.

In 07 Nautique had a tribal support and 08 it had a solid bar. Which are these?

ND builds a copy of the original FCT1 generation 2, (I think that is what it would be called) that folds forward. They were never oem.

TBH I do not know where new dimension fits in. They may have done some of the different versions of the FCT and FCT4. Once again the information I provided was from my time as a dealer and now a Roswell OEM Mngr. I got the manufacturer information over the years from my Nautique rep at the time. I can say the only area I may be off is the FCT1 and FCT4. Some of the version may have been from ND vs. DB.

Thought the very first FCT would have been tagged the FCT1
As pictured on my 99' w/Factory Tower

While the next FCT which was first used in 00' would have been the FCT2
As pictured on my 05' w/Factory Tower

As NCH mentioned above, New Dimension has never manufactured a tower directly for CC as far as I know, they produce a very nice clone similar to the tower on the 05' pictured above.
