I have been trying to set up a good surf wake behind my 2002 Super Air TE (python powered), but just can't seem to get right. Can someone please offer a little coaching? Maybe tell me how much ballast you used and where it was placed. Thanks.

I posted how I set up my wake a few years ago. I also have an 02 san, just not a python. I have it pretty dialed in. Just do a search on my name and it should come upEric, Phoenix AZ

I have an 01 python 210 and have the factory ballast full on both sides, a 400 on top of factory ballast on which ever side someone is surfing on and a seat bottom sack 750 in the locker full. I make everyone sit on the side we surf. It works pretty good.

While i 100% agree that the setups above make a killer wake you may not need as much. I had an 03 SANTE and filled up the side i surf on, the bow and added two 200lb fat sacs on the seat of the side i surf and it worked great. The wake wasnt gigantic but worked well with either a cwb board and the Inland surfer sweet spot.
I did the same on my 2007 SANTE and notice a longer wake and worked great. I learned how to maintain the sweet spot and now plan to get bigger bags and make a bigger longer wake.
Also might check your speed.
Hope i helpedCurrent Correct Craft Boat

I have detailed information how I weighted my former 2002 Python SAN in the ad I listed a few weeks ago. It also shows pictures of the wake at two different speeds. Regarding speeds, paddlewheel Perfect Pass readings at surf speeds will be fairly consistent and repeatable for your boat, but can vary quite a bit with other boats. Meaning, my 10.3 might be 11.0 on your boat.

Quick answer - 800 port locker, 400 on port observer's seat, belly 3/4 full and 200 in port bow under the seat. Not huge but plenty powerful and fairly long for a 1st gen 210. A few more peeps and it got quite a bit bigger.1962 Classic
