    2003 sante surf wake??

Hey new to the forum but have been forum hooping for a couple of years now! I might have the opportunity to buy a 2003 sante and was wondering if the surf wake was doable?? I own an outboard right now and have never tried to surf behind a boat. Looks like fun but not a deal breaker if it's a no go. Thank in advance for all opinions as all the information on this site seems to be.very helpful. Mike

There was a thread just a few days ago about it. The answer is yes, the 03 throws a great wave on both port and starboard. Do a search and a bunch of topics should come up.

            yes doable.

i would check motor oil, trans oil.... smell them and look at them. look at hull for scrapes, dings, gelcoat damage. ask what parts have been changed, maintance schedule, turn steering wheel.

If you end up buying it, let me know. I can give you a ton of info of things to look at that are no big deal that i have had to fight for 2years. It has been a frusterating ride for me but now I call it "reliable". Lt me make it a ton easier for you if or when you buy it and just shoot me a pm and I can give you all the info I have ran into.

Wow sorry to hear you had so many problems! That would great if you would share the info. I go through cars very quickly as I don't like driving the same thing for to long, so I'm pretty good at checking over vehicles(motor/trans/steering/ect..)more looking for specific sante/nautique problems and perks.

My favorite nautique was my 03 SANTE. Great boat!

Being that it's a bit older you will probably have minor issues. I had to replace the ballast valves, replace or actually install missing screws, clean , buff, wax etc.. Before we ever took it out the first time.

But I will say that it felt super solid in the water.

Yes it will throw an awesome surf wake! I just recently got really heavy into wake surfing after a severe ankle injury ended wakeboarding for me. Problem is I ride left forward, which most will say it's hard to get a great surf wake on the port side. Well after much testing I found the perfect combo for a great wave. Mine is a 2000. It's been very reliable, and even though it's the older of the group of boats we go out with, it's the most desired to ride behind. The two other families both have fully loaded 01 and 02 malibu wakesetters.
