Jeff,
Can you also surf with the new 5 blade prop and let us know if you see a difference over the 1579.
Thanks

BEVAN - for what its worth, I went from the 1579 to the 1235 on my 2008 SANTE 210....feels like I went from the Griswold's Family Truckster to a 911 Turbo. I called the guys at ACME before I made the switch to ask them what the current best prop was for my boat (this was about 4 months ago - do not believe the 5 blade was avail then) and he said 1235 all the way. He said I would get a much better hole shot (yep, with Full Fly High, the boat leaps out of the hole pretty well), more top end speed (yep, I went from 37.7 mph to ~42 mph on the Zero Off), and better fuel economy (I haven't really noticed much of a difference here).

Andrew,
Thanks for the input, appears the 1235 & the 5 blade are my current top 2 props. I'm waiting to see if the 5 blade really will do all the things listed above better then the 1579, but you seem to have great response about the 1235. I mainly surf, so looking for feedback in that area as well if you have any.
Thanks,
Mike

Its funny I called the guys at ACME also back in March and they said 1579 and told me while it would be a GREAT PROP on my boat the 1235 would damage the hull! So I am waiting...I sure hope the 5blade will be what we want because the 1579 still struggles in my opinion plus at boarding speeds the motor is running 3500 rpm. I would love to have the performance of what Andrew14 describes from the 1235 but the tradeoff isn't worth it.

I STILL haven't been able to get out with all three props! I tried both days this weekend, and BOTH DAYS storms came up that kept me off the lake!!
I am heading to Kerr Lake this Friday for a week, so I will certainly have some results during that trip!I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Sac Surfer - I mainly wakeboard (my dad surfs every now and then on my boat), so that's why I upgraded the prop. For surfing, I haven't really noticed much of a change since I always just easy the throttle up to surfing speed. For surfing alone, IMO it would be hard to justify getting a new prop - but, if you transit quite often and are looking to pick up some top end speed, then the bigger 1235 will help you there for sure.
Nordicron - For full disclosure, ACME told me the same thing and that my boat would experience "Gel Coat Burn" after about a year due to the bigger prop. The guy at ACME said that I will start to see just a little bit of bubbling/peeling in the Gel Coat right above the prop. However, he said that the Correct Craft factory runs 1235s on all of their "house 210s" because the performance is just so much better and they obviously have a Gel guy right there. He says that he tells his customers who go the 1235 route on their 2008+ 210s is to put on the 1235 prop, wait about a year until the Gel Coat burn starts showing up, then take the boat to a good Gel guy have a small 3"x3" piece of stainless inserted/embedded into the hull (flush) to receive the friction from the prop going forward. He said it shouldn't cost too much and from then on out, you'll be fine. He also said some people just buy Gel kits and do it themselves when the burn starts to bother them or they take it somewhere to have new Gel work done. I've had mine on for about 4 months now and have not noticed any burning yet. I've seen a few posts on here of people saying they've never seen any burn from their 1235s - so who knows. For me, it is worth it for the night/day increase in performance (its almost like getting a different boat or engine IMO) and I'm gonna go the 3"x3" stainless route when/if the burn starts showing up.

I only ran it for about two hours yesterday surfing and I will say that it is defiantly quicker out of the hole and on a surf plane loaded down with approximately 2400lbs of ballast. I had an anomaly in that it changed my surf wake to longer and slightly taller. I spoke with Eric at OJ briefly and he stated that the possible explanation for the longer is that it changed the angle of my hull by lifting the back up but he could not explain the slightly taller. I did not note the rpm's nor did I get a chance to get up to wakeboard speed with all of my ballast filled...more to come.

I measured it on my boat, with a very precise tape measure, and came up with 13.5" OD and 1 1/8" clearance into the dimple above my prop.
