    210 handling question

Can anyone tell me if this is normal? My old 89 Sport handled great. Took turns at all speeds like it was on rails with little roll. My new to me this year 02 210 TE seems to handle like a run about in comparison. In some tight turns at speed (yes, while pulling tubers...I know, I know) there was enough roll that I could hear the prop come out of the water a few times. Is this normal for a wake boat? I can't imagine it is. We were evenly loaded throughout the boat. Any idaes?

Your new boat will not handle like your '89 did. That's the trade off.

SOme of the older 210 years roll A LOT when you turn.... Mine rolled so much that water would come in between the rub rail and hull (A problem that CC made right eventually). But yes, not like a direct drive.

Yep, the handling on my 99 Air was far superior to my 2000 SAN.

isn't this the fundamental direct drive vs. V- drive trade off?

It will roll... one question though... was your tube tied to the tower? Obviously that will make it worse, and you said tubers plural, whether from the tower or not that kind of drag is gonna want to pull the boat way over on a hard turn.

Was that prop out of water or cavitation? I have same 02 and get some cavitation under load turning to port, I actually get some dig in/inside roll to port which I attribute to prop direction and the extreme chine? hull shape at stern. I'm playin with the rudder tune but dont expect a cure there.

thanks for the thoughts guys...I figured it was the trade off with a v-drive. I never connect the tube to the tower...can't see how that can be good for the deck.

                des-
I notice it way more to port as well. Not sure on the cavitation...just know I can hear it get a lot louder/loose some power. Oh well, I guess I will have to accept that the "sports car" is gone.
