    Measurements for TowerBimini

I just ordered a flight control tower for my 95 super sport and would like to order a bimini from towerbimi but don't have the tower yet to provide the correct dimensions. Can someone tell me what the A & B measurements are for my tower, or should I wait til the tower is installed for these measurements? I just want to make sure I have everything installed before the end of May.

    RE: Measurements for TowerBimini

They've already installed biminis on those towers. I would think they already have dimensions to make it for you........???? Call them up.

      bcrandall,

I've been to towerbimini's shop in Gilroy, CA.

Not only do they have measurements, but they also have
two or three CC flight control towers in the shop. They do
most of their work for Central Valley Marine in San Jose,
      CA.

If you ordered an actual flight control tower from correct craft,
then I would think so long as you know what year, they will be able
to figure it out. If you call, talk to Jaime. He's the owner, and
      a really good guy.

I called and they said they were running a month behind schedule, and the top would be $705. That is about twice as much as a regular (non tower) bimini. Is this what i should expect to pay for other bimini tops compatible with the tower? thanks.

The bimini's from towerbimini.com, are certainly not the cheapest.
They are also not the most expensive. They are the best I've
          seen here in California.

I am surprised with the $705 price tag. My brother had one installed on
his Mastercraft last month, and I believe it was a little under $600. His
was an unusual tower, and thus a strictly custom job.

What I like about the bimini from towerbiminis.com is that there are
no holes drilled in the tower. They use 6 rigid clamps which mount
around the tower. These bimini's are very rigid, made of sunbrella
material, and are much larger than most of the tower mounted biminis
I've seen. I had another tower mounted bimini, but replaced it because
the towerbimini was nearly twice the surface area.

I believe there are additional charges for more colors (two colors, one stripe is basic) and for powerdercoating of the mounting brackets and
          bimini hardware.

I will check with my brother and determine how much he paid.
I know these guys are slammed making bims for the boats sold
at the 4 boat shows we have in the area. Still, I wouldn't think
they would gouge by raising the prices just because they are
          busy.

You might try calling Central Valley Marine in Campbell, CA. They
are the local nautique dealer who uses towerbimini.com for their
supplier. Just a sanity check to see how much they are getting
          for the bims.

            bcrandall,

Just checked with my brother. He actually purchased his bimini
from towerbiminis.com in January. Was $600 and took two
weeks at that time. He did pick it up locally, so there was
no shipping fee. It was ordered with no powerdercoating, and
            with a single stripe.

Attached is a photograph. No hate mail because it is an MC. It's
            not my boat.

            Hope this helps.

I thought the going price for these was around $700. $600 with a stripe I would be all over. Too bad they didn't have interest in the group buy thread.

                thanks, bhkhallpass

I called and talked to Jamie and he verified the $675 +$30 for the black powder coated tubing. He said they havn't had a price increase for years.

Looks like I'm getting a tax refund this year so that makes my decision easier!
