04' Ski 206 limited opinion on a tower

This is a ski boat, and would like to keep the 'ski' profile on my wake as much as possible. But i've been looking into getting a tower for my sky ski, will the weight of adding a tower effect my wake much? or is there a tower one can reccomend that may be the lighter?

There will be no noticeable effect to your wake. I have skied a 206 with and without the tower. Order the FCT and you will be all set!

206 is a great boat for skyski. I got to practice skyskiing behind an '03 Air 206 TE w/ it's very small tanks. Although the tanks didn't make much of a difference, the wake was more than adequate (sp?) for me. This was at about 23 MPH. I actually had my best run behind that boat...

I have a 206 with FCT and it doesn't have any effect on my slalom wake.

I have ithe 206's little sister the 196SN, it came with a tower. It probably wouldn't have been my choice had I bought it new, it doesn't affect the boat and has proved useful in helping beginners get up the first few times. So on reflection and if I could afford a spankin' new one it would be a useful extra.

I have the tower and there is no adverse affect. I tell my slalom friends it's my roll bar to match the one on my jeep.

I too have a tower on my 206. The wake is 1st class for slalom and the tower is nice for foot'n and a bimini.

Nope, if you want a OEM tower you have to order through your Correct Craft dealership, expect a price tag around 2500 (probably less, this is what ours cost to have installed in '01)
