    New Natique 196

I am looking at purchasing a new ski boat next year. What is the average price I should look at spending for a New Ski Natique 196 fully loaded with the team package? How would this compare to other ski boats on the market? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not exactly sure what price range you are looking at or anything, but if i was getting a new ski boat just for slaloming, i would consider this one from this web site. I saw a really really nice looking black and red one with the ZR6 Engine... We are probably getting a 216 or 210 and we are only considering ones with teh ZR6 Engine. it is 20 lbs. lighter (not that it makes much of a difference ) and has 45 more horsepower than the most popular 330 Ex-something engine... Looks like a really hot boat...

          skinautique,

i am. looking to buy a promo/used 2003 or new 2004 196 limited. excalibur motor, keyless, dual axle trailer, the usual package. not really considering any other brand since this will be our second nautique and the first (95 sport) was and still is a great boat. any guidance on price, including what is a reasonable number of hours for a 2003 promo boat, would be much appreciated.

          thanks.

Hours are generally anywhere from 45-120. I think price is around $30,000 to $33,000 depending on the area. Hope this helps a little bit.

thanks a lot. that seems like about the right range out here. some slightly less, maybe. gioven the 206's are more popular, the 196's seem harder to sell and thus are more of a buyers market.

any idea what the new 2004's that are similarly equipped are going for? i am guessing mid 40's. if that is true and given the changes between the 2003 and 2004's seem to mostly be cosmetic, it is kinda hard for me to justify the extra $12k or so, perhaps save for the warranty and financing if i go that route.

If i understand correctly, I think if you get a 03 used boat...there is one year off of the warantee...
However, if you get a promo boat, i think, it is still considered new and therefor you would get the full 5 yr warantee...
But its finding a 196 promo..I think most of them these days are usually 206s or 210s...
                Good Luck!

2003 promo boats get a one year parts and labor in addition to the limited lifetime on the structure. You can purchase the remainder of the PCM warranty from PCM for a fee of $100.00. I just sold a '03 206 and just ordered a '04 196. The five year promise doesn't transfer until the 2004 model year boats.

                  I hope this helps.
