You really need to check out the NW SC lakes. I'm not a huge fan of Jocasee unless you want wilderness...no houses on the lake and not much to do there. Jocassee empties into Keowee which has some beautiful homes and some of the best golf courses in the state (the Cliffs). It has a ton of ramps and places to eat within a short drive. Keowee empties into Hartwell. Tons to do there, restaurants/bars on the water...only problem...it's down about 10 feet this year. Hit Keowee...great water...avoid the weekend...can get like a toilet bowl after a flush late Fridays
