    V-drive in Reverse

Is reverse a little different than a standard inboard/outboard? I imagine it would be since the an in/out is pulling the boat in a sense and the v-drive is not. Any words of wisdom?

You will notice a little difference.... And the year, depends on the direction it pulls while in reverse.

Yep. The I/O as you mentioned is a lot different because it provides directional thrust whereas a direct drive / v drive works with a shaft driven prop and rudder.

one word: practice. go practice in the open before you get into a tight situation. Backing up is an inboard's Achille's heel. It can be done but you have to know what you're doing. Good thing is once you figure it out you'll impress everybody with your driving skills. Kinda like when stunt drivers slide sideways into a parking space.

only reverses in one direction, not both like an i/o.
