Hey again, I have a 2012 SANTE 210 and one of my swivel racks is not locking when I turn it to face outside the boat. I have to pull down on the pin but works fine when turned into the boat. Any ideas? Do I need a new rack?
One of ours was doing the same thing but is fine now. I think over use either the pin or lip of the hole has rounded up enough for a smooth engage. May have just been a burr that needed to be worked in. If they won't lock with a firm push forward on the rack then I would call the dealer, otherwise I think they'll work in with a little use.
We had the same issue once, but it was because of a mistake we made: we forgot to turn in the swivel racks before pulling into the boathouse (fortunately we were going slowly, so no damage). So the boards got caught on the side of the boathouse and they "twisted" the whole swivel mechanism counterclockwise. The swivel would not lock into place anymore when swinging it outboard.
Not sure if this happened to you too.
The way I fixed it was a bit crude, but did the job: I removed the boards, grabbed the swivel and with my hands twisted clockwise. The mechanism now locks in place as it once did.
You were lucky, when I bumped mine (going slowly) it stayed stuck in the out position and had to be replaced. I think I bent the pin. Anyway, I added it to my check list before pulling into a covered slip.

Interesting... I haven't bit the rack yet but I'm wondering if someone whacked it or forced it at one point. It swings easy and the pin works perfect in the boat just not when we spin it to the outside. I'll have to do a bit more investigation.
