Go look at the Malibu for sale on ebay that is almost burnt to the ground and the starting bid is almost 10k. That is insane. . Looks like it might be the same guy with both boats.

I like how it's listed as a Team edition. With everything stripped, its future edition is yet to be determined!

The seller has declined ten offers. eBay does not list what the offers are but if they are anything above $2k the seller should take it in a heartbeat. I hope he has space to store this for the long haul if he is set at 14k. I am not sure what it would even cost to rebuild a boat with that much damage. I would have to think greater than $25k$, and at that point you can buy one of that year for cheaper

"Team edition", HA! There is nothing team about this boat. Only use for this is a part out. I'm thinking for $3K you could part out and make a couple hundred bucks. Not worth the trouble in my opinion. If someone does pick it up, I'll take the windshield.

Maybe the guy that owned the boat got caught running around by his wife. She got him where it hurts and cut his pride and joy up. To top it off she pulled the insurance on it before she cut it. All he could do now was part it out.

Someone probably started to cut it up to dispose of it I would think. Then gave up.

Your are probably right. Burning would be the easiest way....but the plume brings lots of attention.
