    Aftermarket Surf Tabs

Has anyone experimented on putting on aftermarket trim tabs like these:

on a Nautique boat? I have a 2008 SAN 210 and was thinking of getting them installed. Would be similar to what some other manufacturers are calling Surf Tabs and from what I've heard it works really well.

I have installed Lenco tabs on an I/O before. They are similar but it's all electric, no hydraulic pump involved, so no hardware inside the boat.

But, I don't think this will help a surf wake. In the up position, you essentially get what you have now. In anything other than up, you're adding lift to your stern which I would think would hurt your surf wake as your taking the heavy part of the boat out of the water more.
I used mine to bring my bow down and not have the boat pound in rough water. It allowed me to keep the boat more level and power through waves.

Ok, I see how it could be made to help on a given side.
You would install a pair, which is the normal installation. You would then apply down tab on the opposite side to which you are surfing. This will raise that side and force the surf side deeper.
But, still not sure if it will achieve what you're looking for.

Bennets are considered some of the best tabs, but the Lencos are so much easier to install with no pump.
I never had a problem with my lencos in 3 years I owned the boat.
And the lencos have faster reaction time as you don't have to wait for pressure to build in the pump. The response is immediate and always the same on the lencos.
