    G23-25 sales / improving economy?

All I want to say is I can't believe the number of people who are, seems to be, contemplating purchasing a 110-120K plus boat (or much more for the G25 from what I hear) Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying there is anything wrong with it, and the G23-25 are amazing boats/small yachts - and I congratulate those who are doing well.
I just know that I will NEVER be in the position to afford a boat that cost more than the median house price in a lot of areas right now
I feel extremely lucky that I got a great deal on a 09' 230 2 years ago, too low too mention, and even at that, can't believe I financed over 50K for a boat.
Maybe it's a sign of the economy improving. I have not had a raise in 4 years, looking like it's going to be five, and had may pay cut last year. (not to mention being forced into a catastrophic health care plan on top of it). And that is as a first responder in a busy area.

I know CC thinks out things before they do something big, and they must have done their homework again with the G23-25.
So, enjoy your new boats guys! Maybe I will be lucky enough to ride in one someday.

    shag,
I see where your coming from but many scenarios come to mind.
    1. Equity from a traded boat that's paid for
    2. Long term financing (I have heard of 20 year financing on these)
    3. People held onto money for at least 4 years and maybe they want to spend it.

I do agree that over 100K for a boat seems like a bunch of money and I will probably never invest that much into a toy but I will say that if I had some free cash laying around this would be on my list for sure.

These boats are not being marketed to ski or wake enthusiasts. They are toys meant for the rich, hence all the little trim and extra gimmicks. A really smart market analyst realized the upper tier luxury market always has buyers with money, so if they cater to that they move more boats at a higher margin. Great for CC, terrible for us working class folks.

        MattieK27,
I understand your point of view but there is nothing wrong with a man/women being successful enough to buy a 100K or more boat.

I'm thankful that CC has the range of boats for all of us.

Whoa there, where at any point did I state there was anything wrong with someone being successful enough to afford that type of boat?

I wish I could afford a measly 2008 210. My 95' is paid for, but if I sold it I wouldn't even be half way there to an 08'

With a 200 being on the lower end at about 70K, I would love to think CC made something that is anywhere in my range of buying. Doesnt look like it soon.

Secondly, I have a feeling anyone able to buy one of those looks at it as a write off nearly as much as a toy.

My boat cost 5.5x more than my truck.

IMHO buy what you can afford, this isn't Russia, god bless those people who worked hard enough to afford $100k plus boat. I worked hard for my boat, I deserve mine, and they deserve theirs.

I think it's awesome that CC has made such a cool boat and my hats off to those people who can afford this price range of wakesports boat. I personally went and bought a more affordable 2010 Tige 22Ve after owning a 98 Sport Nautique and have been very please with my desicion. Just because CC isn't building more affordable boats doesn't mean the other brands aren't...ie....Tige, Moomba, AXIS, MB, and others. Cheers to all of us that atleast work hard to afford being part of this wonderful lifestyle and sport!!!
