The first time I read this 'rumour' I knew it would happen. I knew it was real. It was only a matter of time before they came out with something larger than the enormously succesful and profitable 210/Super Sport hull.
Oh well.
Something new for me to drool about. Just got my SAN too...

210 resemblence in the hull, rub rail wraps around transom with no dive such as the 210, 211-style windshield, spinning board racks, in floor ballast, no walkthru rear locker, full wrap around seating.
I was told this from someone who has access to photos and news.
However, 22' isn't for me. Unless it puts out an even thicker and taller, but to scale version of the 210 wake, it's no good in my book.

Interesting, why do you think a slighlty longer and wider 210 is no good wakeupdude? It sounds as if CC is listening to its customers regarding storage and space issues while trying to keep or even improve on its wake, if it can. Personally I cannot think of a better wake than the 210 can provide (when weighted correctly), and if they get even close to that with a better ballast system and more room for those of us who go out for the day, sounds like a winning combo to me!

WakeUpDude, so you put lots of weight in your SAN, sweet. What does that have to do with the 220 beingno good
Also, how can you cast an opinion of a wake that you have not seen, nor ridden?
What does theto scale
Just trying to see where you are coming from.

I understand where Wakeupdude is coming from. The SAN wake is perfect for a lot of riders. I immediately increased my rope length and air time after a few runs. Most riders sack out their boats to the maximum, regardless of manufacturer, length, beam, etc. Everyone adjusts their weighting to get the wake they want.
No matter how they might build this 220, 90% of the riders will end up adding another 1000+ lbs in ballast. A larger boat is harder to sink, so more weight needed. The extra space will taken up by extra ballast, so the overall effect is about the same as the 210, but with another person or two of room.
I am in the same "boat" as Wakeupdude. The 210 Wake is what I want, it's not as wide as other wakes so you get longer rope length with increased setup time. Stick another 800 lbs in that boat and the wake grows to perfect proportions. I am not all about storage, but have enough room for everything I need and we just pile up the gear and go. I don't want a 23' ft monster to drag down the highway, but that is me.
I am excited to see a new SAN out there and it only seems logical for CC to go that direction with a larger wakeboarding boat with a few more of the innovations that have been cropping up in the last couple of years. I am sure I will be a bit jealous of the new boat, but my 02 SANTE is everything I could need and fits my needs exactly.

Lot's of good points here. As I see it
The market is determining that Correct Craft needs to make a bigger boat. Apparently there are a significant number of consumers that think bigger is better who have voted with their dollars as witnessed by the number of big mastercrafts, malibus, tiges, etc. we are seeing on the water. Right or wrong, that's the market place.
I agree with Wake up Dude that from a pure wakeboarders standpoint, it has yet to be proven that bigger is better. There are lots of big boats out there, and none have proven to have a better wake than the SAN. Further, of the big boats I've driven (Malibu, Mastercraft, and the CC 226) none have handled as well as the SAN. Unless the 220 proves to be as good or better than the 210, it would be great if CC continued to make the 210 as well.
I also agree with Potsie - we need to reserve judgment
until we've seen the 220. When Correct Craft makes a boat, they
usually get it right. It wouldn't surprise me if the 220 has the
best wake characteristics in the market, and also meets the consumers
desire for more room and more bells an whistles.
Personally, I've always been more concerned with performance than
with graphics, bells and whistles, or a big storage space to take things on the boat which I didn't really need anyway. I know that Correct Craft
is unlikely to be the "hippest" boat on the market, but it will usually
be the best in terms of performance on the water.
For those who like to be more hip than me, or who like to carry lots of gear on the water, I hope that CC will make a perfect boat for them as well.
