RE: steering with 97 sport weighted down

hey bfinley, i have a 97 sport. don't use any extra ballast except for my friends. one thing that will happen is if you cross back over your wake you will take on water. like a 6'" wall over the bow unless you keep the throttle up a little. i like to go to idle after my skier goes down then turn around to pick them up. when i go back over my wake i have to be carefull.

It'll turn like a pig. I had a 96 sport that I had weighted and it was pretty un-responsive unless on the power a bit. Just got to get used to it.

I had about 900bs in the rear and another 250 or so up front. I felt it wouldn turn unless under a bit of power. Slow turns were a bear.
