    1999 SNOB value, low hrs

Just a quick question out there to anyone who may know...

Where would be a good place to get an idea on the value of my 99 SNOB? I have seen a few others listed for $21,900 and $19,900. Mine is a Black mainstripe with gray accent, has a GT-40, 143 hrs, original; Heater, Shower, Perfect Pass Dig Pro, standard and factory extended pylon, snap bow cover, custom CoverSports fitted cover, Bimini, DHM single-axel trailer with afermarket alloy wheels and spare, swing-away tongue. It has been a wonderful boat, just wanting to possibly step into a SN 200.

Thanks, and any information would be appreciated!

I think $20k for a '99 would be really tough to get, but you never know? It's all on what a buyer is willing to pay of course. This spring, I saw an absolutely mint and decked-out '01 SN closed bow sell for $17k, while others closer to the $15 range (2000-2001). I don't think the SNOB commands much of a premium above the CB, due to it being a playpen, versus the typical type - at least from what I've seen in the market. Watching ebay is a good way to see what things are worth, or selling for of course. '97-'98 SN's are out there from $11-15k all day long (with a couple crazy exceptions), so I honestly don't think you can expect much more than $15-16ish when all is said and done, especially this time of year.

I bought a 1993 closed bow in perfect condition with 400 hrs on it and paid $10,500.00. I bought it last summer.

Thanks everyone for the input. I spoke with our local Nautique dealer (who I purchased it from) and he was saying between $15-20K.

With low hours, good records, Perfect Pass, and the cover sports cover, I would probably say to shoot for the higher end of the range. My cousin was looking for TSC SNOBs last year and the good ones were very hard to come by and would disappear quickly when we would find one. I think he paid $17K for a 99 in very good shape with the 351HO (carb), no perfect pass, few options. Yes, it will require a specific buyer, but the SNOB of that era have a fantastic ski wake, full observer seat, and a bit of open bow seating that some people think is just the perfect combination.

            Good luck with your sale.

Any chance you can take a picture of the extended pylon and post it? I have a 99 SN with a extending pylon that I can raise and lower but I have not been able to ID the manufacturer. Since you mentioned a factory "extended" pylon I thought maybe it is the same as you have.

Also, FYI...I bought by 99 about 8 months ago for 11.5K. It had 370 hours, GT-40, PP, shower, custom cover and bimini. Gelcoat was a bit rough but the carpet and skins are pretty nice. I added a new Acme prop, heater and a Stargazer upgrade for about 1.5K. I would think the Open Bow is worth about 1K more because it will appeal to families that want the whole crew in the boat the whole time.

I think a lot of the boats priced at 17-20K are sitting for awhile or the final negotiated price is far lower. Just my 2 cents. -Marc
