    New Nautique. Seemingly Endless Problems.

I bought a new 2012 210 SAN TE in May. So far, it has been at the shop for repair over 50% of my ownership time. Link system keeps locking up, hydr-gate control doesn't stay set, bilge pump light constant blinking and unable to change it, engine replaced (yes, new engine), still having warning light coming on, bad electrical sensor, and probably some more things.

But with that being said, I honestly feel like I have purchased a lemon. This is not what I would expect from the cheapest boat manufacture or any new item ever. Talk about time, stress, and headaches. This boat has seriously been in the shop more than in the water.

WHAT SHOULD I REASONABLY EXPECT?? Sure, I've been told numerous times it is fixed. But that does not seem to be working.

Thanks in advance, and hopefully I can get all issues resolved. So far, I am far from satisfied.

Maybe Nautique should make the monthly payment for months you were not able to use.

Based on your experience I would say a "brand new boat". Seriously your dealer should take it back and have CC replace it with a new one!!!

CC should replace it with a new one. MC does it all the time. I personally know 2 people that have had new MCs replaced so hopefully nautique will make it right. Ask your dealer for the number of the regional sales rep or call down to the factory and talk to someone like Ron Nace if he is still around.

I would be on the phone with every person at Nautique. Someone needs to call that boat back home. Where is it now? In the shop? I'd tell them u don't feel safe taking your family out on the water in it, would they?

It is very reasonable that CC should replace the boat. Send them this link and let them know what other owners think.

In the auto industry there is a lemon law period to protect the consumer after they purchase their new car. The terms of the lemon law vary by state. Most manufacture's will buy back a vehicle before it even goes lemon law, as it is a very tedious and costly process that is not worth it for the manufacture. They would rather save the money and do the right thing and have a happy/loyal customer. I urge you to do some research on your state's website and have the info in your back pocket when speaking with CC.

Correct Craft is a great company that builds a superior boat. Having said that nobody is perfect and well, stuff happens. The measure of a company is not how they do things when everything goes right but how they react when things do not go right as it appears is the case with your boat.

I would expect a phone call from a decision maker at Correct Craft. I would expect a new boat and I would share that with them. You are the owner of a boat that may prove difficult to sell. As a stand up guy you would tell any future owner of the boat its history and some of the defects may scare off potential buyers in an already small market. Guys who buy Nautiques expect and demand the best. I personally would not purchase a boat that had an engine replaced, unless there was a steep discount. Good luck, stay calm, be professional.

Actman on this forum could be a great resource as well, as he had his first 200 replaced. He could offer you some valuable insight. I'm confident CC will make it right. It sounds as though your boat should return to the factory for dissection.

I'm wondering why the dealer is not asking for the end user? Would the dealer lose money on a replacment deal? Thats the only thing I can think of why they have not went to bat for the owner. I know Nautique will make it right if given a chance.

Phone calls, emails, and written letters up the chain at CC until you have a new boat.

Should have happened with the new engine, period. They need to make it right.

i agree with everyone else, its pretty much time for a new boat. the good news is, I think CC will agree too. Am anxious to hear how the dealer and CC respond now that you have a course of action ... curiously, what happened with the motor that it had to be replaced?
